    Yeah, it was char.png in 1.5.2, in 1.6.2 the textureEnder converted it to steve.png, the new format.

    hey has someone another compass for me the one in the pack is a bit too realistic i think and i dont like it so much in Soartex :(...

    That's the only approved compass we have.

    There's no other available since no other has the amazing details as the one Floppy made.

    Are there even any other compass ideas floating around, Val?

    Personally I don't find the current compass realistic though, creepeace. I think it fits the pack really well, but everyone has their own opinion.

    You could try making your own compass design!

    HAHA lol never made sth :D i can handle with Photoshop really good but never painted sth new :)... I would have no idea how to draw a item mc-like or especially Soartex with 64x, even though i have some ideas, but i cant set them to a product... :(

    I believe there was one we were using from Defscape, that was the previous one the pack had.

    HOWEVER...

    Since we decided to remove ALL Defscape textures, we don't have it anymore, making the one that Floppy made our official compass.

    Random question, but which color tip of the compass is pointing towards player spawn? Red or White?

    It confuses me in SG and HG, but I've always been following white.

    That was already fixed in the latest snapshot of the pack. Its the red pointer.

    I think I should go ahead and post this. It's a simple edit to the current TnT, where the text is replaced with "Soartex."

    I started by retexturing the wood label behind the TNT text. Then I made a new "Soartex" text layer in an interesting font, rasterized it, then set the blend mode to hard light. I added the two lines to the top and bottom of the text at this point to the text layer using a 1px pencil. Then I added a layer mask to the rasterized text layer, and pasted a greyscale, tweaked wood backing onto the layer mask. This helped form the text into the backing. I also used a black linear gradient on the layer mask to make it fade around the bottom.

    Minor tweaks were then made with the color sampler and pencil to clean up the result.

    The text ended up a little too pixelated, I should have increased the hinting to full before rasterizing the text.

    Hinting offsets the letters and details in the text to make them line up better with the pixels... if the text lines up with the pixels, it reduces the need for antialiasing. (Text tool options; Hinting: Full)
    Raster images are based on pixels; rasterization is the conversion to the raster image format from vectors. When I rasterized the text, I converted it from vector format to pixel format by discarding the text data (right click on layer>Discard Text Information).

    Dont know whether this is the correct thread but is there a way to add the soartex textures in a world imported in Cinema 4D?

    Wow, that got done fast. I just woke up (it's after 12pm where I am...)

    But it looks good. Seems to fit the default version. Though it seems like the dirt on the Podzol is a different color than the normal dirt. Is it like that in default as well?

    My Snapshot Changes (edits are italicized):
    • Rose and Dandelion - changed to single flowers instead of bushes
    • Clemantis (from the customizer) - added as "blue_orchid"
    • Daisy from Biomes O'Plenty - added as "oxeye_daisy"
    • New ice texture - added as "ice_packed"
    • Redflex's Podzol Dirt - added as "dirt_podzol" (both variants)
    • Biomes O'Plenty tulip - most vanilla tulips added (with the exception of the pink tulip)

    Below are the textures. Most are already Soartex textures, just repurposed. Let me know what you think (I'm iffy on the single flowers, but yeah)

    EDIT: Hm, the ice looks a little reminiscent of water. Oh wait, that's the point: it's frozen water. And also, the ice_packed is not transparent in default.

    Maybe because of the ˝contrast˝ between the dirt and the grass part?

    Haha you have the same changes added, that i did :D i like the single flowers MUCH more, gonna add the blue flower and daisy, cause i didnt know how to... thx for this :) i gonna test this ice, which looks REALLY good <3, i am going to use it!

    Podzol Dirt is a new item for me, is it new generally?!? Looks nice though!

    OMG the internet got CRAZY. Everyone post videos about the new snapshot.
    And that will be a pain (I don't know) there are 3 new types of fish :)
