    Better Glass
Kahr has recently added a mod called 'Better Glass' to his arsenal.
Can you guess what it does, it's relatively unique.
It is a very interesting one, it allows full alpha transparency in glass blocks.
Something pretty much every texture artist has tried to do before.

    Tinted windows for everybody!

This display is a small change to the glass, reducing light, adding dull transparent black to the image above the frame, seeing the outside nice and dim, all we need now is refraction effects!!

Clearly, the overlay is adding to the frame, which in my infinite wisdom, I couldn't see coming. I feel stupid about it because I already said "above the frame" in the last description! XD

I achieved the fix by going against the grain and inviting the frame's twin sister to my dinner party. We made a fine shade of green together, and the frame stayed in absolute solitude and justice. I... have problems.

Play around with these .png files.
Frame is... the Frame, Tint is... the Tint.

    Cool huh?
Don't mess with the .properties files until you understand what they mean! XD
    This also works for planes.

Can we say the twin wasn't able to come, leaving a ... hole ... where it would have been?

In other words, delete the infringing pixels instead of stacking them?

No, That would take up more disk space.
I don't understand it myself, but apparently transparency takes up more disk space.
RLE should prevent that, perhaps it doesn't apply to alpha...

Edit: I really am an idiot, RLE wouldn't really help considering you'd be adding more detail in small sizes. If it were larger sizes, like say the background transparency, RLE would tell it to skip all the transparent pixels until a change is spotted.

Here, the first viable better glass CTM.
It's about 20% darker than the original tint, not entirely sure why I named it in Welsh...

...And here's the unconnected version, because of some reason, without the planes.

I was thinking more of an actualy slight shine than just an overlay.
